Core Return Policy & Procedures




All core returns must be sent to the AA Engineering, Tabor City, NC manufacturing facility in a prompt time frame. When returning cores, the following procedures should be followed:

 


 

 


Pallet Core Returns:
     

 

 

♦ All core returns should be in their original AAE part box for credit.
♦ All items must be of like core, in rebuildable condition, and free from physical damage.  Broken cores and cores missing parts will be assessed charge backs following our technical inspection.  Refer to AAE’s Core Inspection Guide for proper inspection instructions and charge back amounts.
♦ All core returns should be accompanied by a completed Distributor Core Return Worksheet or the customer’s internally generated return authorization paper work to ensure proper location credit.
♦ All core return pallets should be well packed, including strapping and plastic wrapping, in order to eliminate damage or loss of parts.
♦ Once pallet is ready to ship, AAE should be faxed a copy of the return packing slip indicating the individual item part numbers being returned.  AAE will issue an RGA for the return and will schedule pick up with a common carrier of our choice for qualifying prepaid freight returns.  AAE will fax to the location the necessary Bill Of Lading for pick up.  Pick Ups will occur within 24 hours of notice given to AAE.
(Note:  A customer’s account must be paid current, and in good standing, in order to qualify for prepaid pallet core return service regardless, of status as a stocking distributor.)

 

Once the core pallet has been returned, it will be inspected within 72 hours for the following items:

 

♦ Correct parts must be in corresponding marked AAE Boxes.  Cores must match application of originally purchased part.  Any substitutions of parts should be approved by AAE in advance.
♦ All cores must have all required parts intact and not damaged beyond repair for Atlantic Enterprises re-manufacturing specifications. 
♦ Final decision on the rebuildable condition of a returned core is solely up to Atlantic Enterprises.  See AAE warranty for details on acceptable core returns.
♦ Only customer cores resulting from direct sales by AAE will be accepted for core credit.



Once the core pallet has been processed, the following will occur:

 

♦ AAE will notify the customer location of any discrepancies noted with the cores returned.
♦ AAE may elect to reject core completely or charge customer for specific repairs and/or missing or damaged parts.
♦ Should a core not be accepted, AAE will return core to customer at their expense, if requested.
♦ All cores received within five days of the end of the current month will be credited and applied to open invoices prior to the end of month statement.
♦ Only customer cores resulting from direct sales by AAE will be accepted for core credit.

 




Single Item Core Returns:

 

 Freight for single item core returns are the responsibility of the customer. Once a core has been returned, it will be inspected within 48 hours for the following items:
 
 
 ♦ Correct parts must be in corresponding marked AAE Boxes. Cores must match application of originally purchased part.  No substitutions allowed.
 ♦ All required parts are intact and not damaged beyond repair for Atlantic Enterprises re-manufacturing specifications.
 ♦ Final decision on the rebuildable condition of a returned core is solely up to Atlantic Enterprises.  Please see AAE warranty policy for details on core failures.
 ♦ Only customer cores resulting from direct sales by AAE will be accepted for core credit.

(Note: Prompt core returns are a critical factor in our being able to meet your finished part requirements.  Forecasting core requirements in order to maintain adequate supply of finished stock is critical to our business model.  All cores should be returned in a timely fashion.  Cores outstanding beyond 30 days from single orders or from non AAE wholesale distributors, will be considered non-returning and therefore void of a core credit.  Wholesale Distributor core returns should be made within 120 days of purchase to receive core credit.)
